The special weaving techniques employed in the manufacture of the Insula fabric allows Galvin Green to increase the volume of the actual fabric by as much as 80%. This increased volume enables air to be trapped in the fibres of the material, air that is then heated by the body and provides excellent thermal insulation.

However, Insula garments are also highly breathable, which enables moisture from perspiration to be transported away from the body. The Insula material itself is extremely light and the finish is exceptionally smooth and comfortable to wear.
