New for 2006, the Mizuno MP-60 golf irons; aggressive shot making in a forged iron playable for mid-handicap golfers.
Summary: Cut Muscle design offers solidity and aggressive shot-making. Progressive half cavity increases sweetspot by 10%, but face area by just 4%.
Merging a half-cavity to Mizuno's Cut Muscle design creates a solidity unexpected in a cavity iron. The MP-60's 10% larger sweet area (compared to MP-32) is achieved with just a 4% increase in face size.
A carefully adjusted sweet area throughout the set allow MP-60's long irons to fly higher and more easily than its blade counterparts, while its short irons retain penetration and scoring ability. Meanwhile, rolled edges and a cambered mid sole allow consistent ball striking from a variety of lies.
Specifications:
Fitted with Dynamic Gold steel shafts as standard.
Today's Golfer, The Test 'Gold' Rating (April '06 Better Player Irons)
''A truly great set of clubs... Not the longest-hitting, highest-spinning, or most accurate irons on test, but a club which always puts a smile on your face when you're striking the ball well. From 3-iron to wedge it's impossible to pick holes in any club, even if the long irons are pretty demanding. The narrow soles let you nip the ball effortlessly from the turf while looking, feeling, and sounding great''.

Nick Faldo says...
''They feel like butter off the face, very soft and versatile with easy trajectory control.''.
