The Cleveland Launcher Steel Fairway Wood (L/H Graphite); utilising Thin Crown Technology and a lower profile head design to it make it easier to get the ball airborne and allow more forgiveness on off-centre hits.
Head Design
The new and improved Launcher steel fairway woods feature a lower profile head which makes it easier to get the ball airborne. Thin Crown Technology was also incorporated, taking 15% more weight out of the top of the clubhead and moving it to areas of greater benefit. The Carpenter Custom 455 steel face plate is robotically welded to increase the size of the sweet spot and makes the face hotter and more forgiving on off-centre hits.
Trajectory
Launching higher than the 1st Generation Launcher Fairways, this new fairway also produces less backspin than the original for a piercing ball flight that results in added carry. The Launcher Comp Fairway may be the longest fairway in golf, but the new Launcher '06 Steel Fairway is right on its heels.
